National Archive participates in fotografen.nl

At the beginning of January the website fotografen.nl was launched. The website was built on the artist database RKD-Artists and should develop into the most extensive database for photographers of the Netherlands. Biographic as well as copyright data of mainly Dutch but also of foreign photographers will be stored in the database. Images for the Future will add information on well-known photographers from the collection of the National Archive, but will also profit from the information from other experts on lesser known photographers or copyright owners. The usefulness, significance and context of the photographs can be sustainably enhanced by connecting the digital image to the information from the database.
